Actually, Gibson violated trade laws, and falsified documents.

Maybe the laws are bad laws. The laws appear to try to create labor for Indians. The USA guys want to import whole logs, but our trade agreement with India is to import only cut and fabricated logs (of this specie) from them.

I wonder if the right-wing wants to make heroes out pf people who falsify documents.

I can think of better heroes--people trying to start push-cart vending services, or barred from practicing law without a license.

The trade law with india is probably a bad law, and we should try to negotiate a better law.

Breaking the law, falsifying documents, and then hiring PR and calling the action heroic is another approach.

"Actually, Gibson violated trade laws, and falsified documents. "

Really? What has Gibson been charged with?

You know, actual charges filed, not just rumors and innuendo.

Oh, the lengths Benji will go to protect his corrupt boyfriend. As Ron noted, if it's so cut-and-dry, why no charges filed?

The question was whether or not Gibson had violated Indian law. Strangely, the video left out this important piece of exculpatory evidence:

... the purpose of the raid was to investigate whether the laws of another country – India, from which Gibson imports its fingerboards and which has provided Juszkiewicz with a letter attesting to the legality of the purchases – were violated -- Reason

Of course, there may have been another reason for the Obama administrations interest in Gibson:

Report: Gibson Competitor is Dem Donor; Uses Same Wood, Experienced No Federal Raids - Big Hollywood

Gibson is a supporter of the GOP, so he gets raided and his Democrat supporting competitor does not - go figure.

Do you mean in the way that leftists attempted to make a hero of CBSs Dan Rather after he falsified documents in an attempt to throw a presidential election? No, we "right-wingers" don't go in for that kind of thing.

We're talking about Gibson, not the Democrats illegal immigration policy.

Che,

Good point, Che. Benji likes to make jackass remarks here about how the GOP wants to "restrict labor" when it comes to illegal immigrants. Suddenly, he's not a fan of following the letter of the law when it comes to Mexico exporting their poverty (which benefits Democrat politicians.)

Honestly, is the US's future to be the same as that of India, with government using its agents to strongarm opponents, a situation I thought I left behind? Thanks a lot to the socialist in the white house and to the idiots that elected him.

No Benji, it did not. It did not even violate any laws in India or Madagascar.
